Thanks David, taken the words right out of my fingertips. Liam Fox is a nasty bit of work by all accounts, as defence secretary his was a bomb them to keep them in their place attitude. No doubt he would be reasonable by offering a choice: either accept no more benefits or euthanasia. At least, the way people who cannot afford to eat properly and afford to heat their homes are more or less done away with by neglect, so they might as well go the whole hog. The Taxpayers Alliance is anything but what it sounds like indeed. No sane person would join, if they would have them.
More or less what one would expect from the Taxpayers Alliance which claims to be a popular movement but when looked at closer is just a right-wing micro pressure group attached to a "think tank". This article is a little old but does point up who these people are

Not surprised to see Dr Fox getting in to bed with them. He did a great service to medicine when he entered politics.
