La Rentrée or return to school can a nightmare for supply teachers attached to l’Academie (Department of Education) because they do not tell you whether you have a job for the next 12 months or not, where it might be let alone who the students are right up to the last minute and beyond. I’d like to know if any other supply teachers are out there waiting for news?
Depends on your subject & Rectorat - I used to be told in July where I would be for the next academic year, but then I was teaching German. They used to give me a choice too!
