Université du Temps Libre

Although we have had a house here in the Hautes-Pyrenées for 10 years, we only moved here full time in May. I have looked at the prospectus for the local UTL in Tarbes and, as it seems to have some very interesting courses, I have subscribed for 2014/15.

I appreciate that each institution and each course will be different, but I wondered if other members had experiences (good or bad) of UTL?

Thanks, Sue.

I am looking at the courses on art history and French literature so will see how I get on. Should certainly be good for one's French!

Hello Jonathan,

I taught English at UTL Périgueux for a number of years, and it was a very enjoyable experience. The students (from all kinds of backgrounds) were wonderful. I was most impressed by the variety of courses UTL Périgueux offers: several languages, painting and drawing, history of art, IT etc. There is a choir too, and regular conferences on a range of interesting subjects. Something for everyone.

I hope you enjoy being a member of UTL Tarves.

best wishes,

Sue
