Yes I have a six months free trial.  It is listed in their Tarifs 2012 leaflet in the section for professionals, under 'Offre auto-entrepreneur'.

You have to check statements carefully for extra charges and be ready to complain, as I have another account in another bank for a small association and found charges on the first statement when an association account is supposed to be free.  When I complained they said that it was an error and removed the charges.

We spent an hour at our local credt Agricole office last week.

Everything was explained clearly and the charges seem reasonable ...THE MYSTERY Zen Formular at 46 APPROX euros per month....when did I sign for this?

is just over 8 euros and is insurance cover for fraud etc taking place on our account/s

Interesting to here about your Free trial?

Interesting to see a copy of the contract Zen...which I asked to see about 3 WEEKS ago and still has not arrived. At the same time I find it even more interesting that the superior manager at another branch is visiting to resolve the situation? No sign of the bad girl at the bank who has been trying hard to create a language problem in order to satisfy my understanding of why she has

managed to take 9% of a years earnings from our accounts!
Charging more than double for annual credit card charges and dishing out gold

cards  which have no relevance to our needs.

I will also have to look at changing, I just got a statement form Banque Populaire on a business account that really is almost never used as its a property holding company.
The deduction states Commission De Suivi for €240.00
Not sure what this is but I need to find out quick.

Ha ha Tracy - yes that's the worst thing about la poste and it's always when you're in a rush! fortunately our local branch has just introduced a self-service system for paying in cheques, there's a cash machine outside and two weighing/stamp machines inside so I hardly ever have to queue now, thank god...!

as for the citizenship forms, yes one day...

Not to mention the hours he spends queuing behind all the old dears at La Poste :-).  Yup, it is on the 'to do' list along with the citizenship stuff!

For a french bank account I use Soc Gen AE account, it is 8e a month but for that I get my name and my company name on the account, a deferred payment card and a very strange but healthy overdraft facility, v useful out of season.

My OH has a La Poste one at very little cost but still has to pay around 25€ for his CB.  And it's c--p!

Thanks Andrew. Looks like I'll be switching my account again for that deal!
