Comment by gillian player on May 3, 2012 at 9:35 Cheers Tim -that sounds great-I am in Agde so Pezenas would be ideal. You sound very busy but I can fit around your schedule. How do we take this further? Should I send you my e-mail address and sort out the details there? thanks again for the offer.
Comment by Alan Cameron on May 2, 2012 at 22:09 Hello. I'm more or less in the same boat as Gillian although haven't done any courses. At the moment my French isn't much better than basic. I'm in Montpellier centre and I've been looking at French courses for beginners but there seem to be a lot of choices. I'm also interested in one-to-one? Any recommendations? I don't know anyone here so I'm limited to the 5 minutes I spend at the school each day so anything that focuses on conversation in particular appeals to me. Thanks.
Comment by Suzanne Fitzgerald on May 2, 2012 at 19:26 I can recommend Tim, he helped my hubby pick up the lingo without having to do lots of homework (which he hates). The sessions were very relaxed and his language came on leaps & bounds.
Hi gillian. I could help with conversational classes this summer if you need. I was a French teacher in the UK, and am now completing a masters in education here. I have done lots of private lessons with expats in Pezenas (individual not group work which i don't think works very well). I just concentrate on the conversational side ( no worksheets), although ideally you will need to be motivated enough to learn vocab on a regular basis. If you are keen i think i can help. Let me know. regards Tim
Comment by gillian player on May 2, 2012 at 18:25 Hi
just joined the group! Looking forward to sharing lots of advice and infoabout the region! I am in desperate need of improving my French...I have completed courses etcand have fair/bad text book French which is of no use in day-day conversation. Does anyone know of any conversation style courses. Thanks

Comment by Miles Barrington on February 6, 2012 at 8:37 Happy Monday morning to all! A slightly belated welcome to our ever-swelling ranks, to Remy, Tracey, Christian and Emma. I hope that's all of the newcomers?
As lovely as Ron's sunset is, I think it's time for a Languedoc snow photo at the top of the page. As we are snow-free, it needs to come from someone else, so if you would like your pic at the top, send it to miles@languedoc-midi.info and I'll post it. Stay warm folks!
