For anyone in Paris in the next few weeks and tempted by an evening of theatre in English, please come and see my Shakespearean solo at the Petit Théâtre du Bonheur in 18th...

"When Margaret of Anjou is married off on the battlefield to an English king, she expects a hero. But pious Henry VI turns out to be overwhelmed by advisors, competitors and intermittent fits of delirium. Faced with a sink or swim situation, Margaret becomes a major player in the Wars of the Roses, battling to keep the crown for her husband and son. The story of her transformation from innocent princess to hard-nosed politician and warrior runs through Shakespeare’s history plays. This solo show combines extracts from Shakespeare and contemporary source material to tell her story."

I'm coming up to Paris for a meeting at 2pm, but I arrive at Gare de Lyon at 10.42am.

I'll be going to the Luxembourg metro area for the meeting. Does anyone have any ideas what I can do in-between time (that doesn't involve a huge amount of walking)? My list so far extends to: Read Kindle in Lux Gardens, have picnic lunch.

All ideas welcome. :)

Hi There,
If anyone can help with translation in Paris, could you please contact a friend of mine? She has to attend some kind of formal meeting, and feels she needs a bit of help. Her email address is shirleyledlie@hotmail.com - so if you can help, please get in touch with her as soon as possible. Thanks so much.

Hi Everyone - hope your holidays are going fine if you're having them!

Here's a little competition I'm running but it's right at the end, finishing in two hours as I type, so if you happen to be around, just say 'Hi' on the Paris If You Please Facebook page and you'll be automatically entered into the prize draw for a copy of my stupendously wonderful "400 Paris Quirks". Well, it's ok.

Go here to say 'Hi'! http://on.fb.me/l0YUx6 and maybe you'll win a copy ;~Sab

Look what you can see if you're in the capital any time soon...

This is wild - a superbly executed optical effect on a grand scale.

Looks like a globe: yep.

Ain't a globe, no way, no how: nope!

Can you see the truth?

So, who's in Paris this summer? Anyone on for some events guys? I was really happy to meet SFN member David and his geetarr at our May picnic - cool! Anyone want another picnic in June or July? We can do it, you know! Here's what I've got planned so far: http://www.meetup.com/Paris-If-You-Please/

Your ideas would be more than welcome. The photo's from the May Metro Masters Charity Event, where we raised €400 and gave 400 hot meals to the homeless of Paris and France. I'm patting myself on the back as I type ;~S

And as for the photos... WELL! The pics are just wonderful, and I reckon there are a lot still out there just waiting to be sent in if we nudge a few peeps!

Click on the pics and have a look at some of the others - they're great!

Yep, that's a funny old article Catharine! I'm thinking of adapting it for an English lesson, it's so weird.

Apologies to those who have suffered from "Paris syndrome" - but this story made me laugh out loud!
