Welcome to the group ladies.
Annie, my favourite camping destination in France is Buis-les-Baronnies down near Mt Ventoux. I haven't been there for 40 years but was reminded of it recently when friends told me about this fantastic place they visited. Wouldn't tell me at first because they didn't want it to be spoiled by tourism. They were quite surprised when I said had holidayed there a long time ago.
Why haven't I been back? Just assumed it would be commercialised now and didn't want to spoil the memory but it is back on the agenda for a visit.
It seems from their description it hasn't changed in all those years, camp site with pool no large supermarkets, friendly natives and stunning scenery.
Its great for walking, cycling, sight seeing, enjoying the summer warmth and a glass or 2. Well worth a visit if you get down that way.
