MEMBER OF THE MONTH

In true SFN style, we will be rewarding our rocking writers with an award for the most prolific poster of quality content at the end of every month. To be in with a chance, all you have to do is post in a relevant and erudite manner. And the more you post, blog, comment and reply, the more chance you have of winning this prestigious accolade! It's as simple as that - so get posting (but definately not spamming)!

If you would like to nominate an SFN member to receive this award, please email your nomination to james@kingswharf.net

Thanks

James

Well done Andrew!

Valerie Skinner Comment by Valerie Skinner on February 6, 2012 at 11:03am

Thank you Frank but Nooooooooooooooooo.

Poignant = pointless

Intelligent = Maybe, when compared to a 3 year old

Spontaneous = Reckless. Who else would consider moving to France in sub-zero temperatures...?

But thank you for the vote of confidence.

Would like to nominate Valerie Skinner....

Why ????? cause she seems poignant, intelligent and spontaneous.

Greeta Hayley, et mon dieu are we turning over logs right now... Well, after I have cut the metre lengths down to fit in the stove (fire is big, so just in half)...

Hayley Johnson Comment by Hayley Johnson on February 6, 2012 at 10:43am

Congrats Andrew, your advice (Brian M too) to me this last week about ordering my logs was gratefully received. I now have a BAC +1 in steres and logs are on order for Weds lol :)

Emily Montès Comment by Emily Montès on February 6, 2012 at 10:25am

You deserve it, Andrew.  I'm not some kind of over-enthusiastic fan or anything - but it's good to hear from fellow married-to-French types!!!  (especially those who have a job in France ;)  )

Brian Milne Comment by Brian Milne on February 6, 2012 at 10:23am

Steve, you're on... Vote C!!

Andrew Hearne Comment by Andrew Hearne on February 6, 2012 at 10:20am

Well I didn't expect that but I'm very "touched" and just pleased that some of you find my often rambling waffle of interest and help!

Bonne journée à toutes et à tous et à bientôt

Andrew

Where does it say Andrew won?  Andrew Hearne?  Well deserved if so - if not, I'm sure the mythique "other" Andrew deserves it too!  Where's the winner posted?

Steve Bichard Comment by Steve Bichard on February 6, 2012 at 10:11am

Another very worthy winner, well done Andrew you contribute a lot to this forum.

Your comments are always fair and well balanced.

Can I also vote for Catharine for the next one.

Brian Milne Comment by Brian Milne on February 6, 2012 at 9:59am

Fantastic Andrew, you'll be there with the Tooting Popular Front next Catharine...

Valerie Skinner Comment by Valerie Skinner on February 6, 2012 at 9:54am

Totally agree!

James Higginson SFN Comment by James Higginson SFN on February 6, 2012 at 9:53am

By overwhelming majority, January's SFN member of the month as voted for by your good selves is Andrew Hearne, well deserved in my opinion!

Sorry Catharine, good effort though ;)

Brian Milne Comment by Brian Milne on January 29, 2012 at 5:40pm

Catharine forever, and the Revolution after tea!

Ronald Birks Comment by Ronald Birks on January 29, 2012 at 5:04pm

...can't join in at the mo guys, trying to get this uniform prototype to work. Sure, camouflage is a great look, but it's a b*tch to work with, I mean we want durability...but comfort is an issue, some long marches ahead.

Brian Milne Comment by Brian Milne on January 29, 2012 at 4:59pm

Where's the Wolfie pic vanished?

Brian Milne Comment by Brian Milne on January 29, 2012 at 4:59pm

Err, yeah, vote Catharine:

Brian Milne Comment by Brian Milne on January 29, 2012 at 4:54pm

Oh yeah, anything to make me look like Wolfie! You're on... keep laughing - it's one of the few things that really is free in every sense in this world!

Catharine Higginson SFN Comment by Catharine Higginson SFN on January 29, 2012 at 4:52pm

You have just made me laugh so much boys. Maybe we should put the badge onto a members beret. I'm thinking the Tooting Popular Front here.....

Brian Milne Comment by Brian Milne on January 29, 2012 at 4:43pm

Pops out to play 'Dodge the hunters' with dogs and comes back to Citroens and sheep afire, lots of beeps, something about to explode and a great big campaign flag. Meanwhile, my daughters are watching the Marx Bothers' 'Monkey Business', my wife is talking to a deaf relative on the phone who obviously keeps listening with the deaf ear. And I thought I was nuts at present. Ah well that is a relief. I'm OK and the whole world has gone gaga! So I take it Catharine is leading candidate. If we are in touble, guess it is BIG, BIG time this time. :)
