Thanks for the reply. I think its a charming name and a wonderful meaning, I'm sure its appropriate. And whats wrong with ordinary names? I am at odds with the current fashion of "stand out names". Perhaps I should have guessed that you had Polish parentage, but names travel so much. The character in the book has an English surname which is why I was intrigued. I first thought perhaps Dutch. My wife's mothers family originally came from Danzig which of course is now Gdansk in Poland and she still has relatives there, and yes they were in the shipbuilding industry. They later moved to Kiel in Northern Germany and stayed in the same work.
I get a lot of comments about working for the Military. Mainly because its the Chinese Military and with their record of human rights I have found I need broad shoulders. I sleep much sounder working with wind turbines.
I am looking for a hovel that does need renovating. As long as its structurally reasonably sound with plenty of solitude. That's just my sense of humour as I tend to be good at starting jobs and not finishing them!!!!!!

I'm intrigued by your name. I'm currently reading a thriller called Fever of the Bone by Val McDermid and one of the central characters is called Danuta.
I'm too lazy to search on the internet for its origins, then you appear.
