Hi Jane , fancy that! I know exactly how your daughter feels , I had my own shop in the UK and it is VERY HARD WORK! people don't realise what is involved with the job and just think that its standing around arranging pretty flowers. I feel for your daughter , its not nice working for such a horrible boss. She sounds awful!. I understand that it is hard when you have small children, I was lucky enough to work 3 days a week when mine were small with a very understanding boss, so I had the best of both worlds.   I am sure that learnt some amazing floristry skills from her time working with the dutch lady though , the dutch have fantastic style.

Take a look at my website its now finished www.frenchflowerstyle.co.uk

So sorry to here that you have been poorly , Reiki is a fantastic way to treat yourself , keep it up! Crystal therapy is a wonderful treatment. I find it extremely fascinating how a piece of natural stone can affect our physical  and emotional well-being. I have always loved crystals , even from being a child I have been drawn to them.

Well i better get off and collect my son from football , kindest regards Lisa :)

I am up to master level, though don't use the teaching bit as much as I would like.As for questions or advice, ask away I will help if I can. Kindest Regards Lisa...btw I love your dog!

I think we can say what makes us feel comfortable, although Dr Usui was a Buddhist, therefore, no God!
As Quakers we live in the light and that fits in well with Reiki. I am reading a book at the moment about the Cosmic christ written by Matthew Fox, who was excommunicated by the present pope.He was recommended to me by my Sandi,my Reiki Master, when I explained that I found difficulty with the prevailing attitude to sin as I felt that we all have an equal propensity to be good as to be bad and it is up to us to choose.. I read his book Original Blessing, which I found very helpful.
The main reason that I left the C of E was that we had a trawl round the congregation to find out what we could offer to help each other.I put forward my Reiki and was refused as the Rector suddenly realised that healing was supposed to be his patch. Also, I found that in our services when we were asked to have a few moments of silence, there was not nearly enough time allowed. I have come to understand that you find God in the silence.

I also used to say thank you to God for the treatment, you do not mention what you say at the end of a treatment. I now also ask Christ to fill me with his healing light, and this works as well.

Hi Jane, sorry not to have replied when yhou added me as a friend. I had miscalculated the amount of fruit I had eaten and was suffering from the runs.
Your idea of the reiki group was great and is now up and running.
We live in the Clunysois of Southern Burgundy, which is beautiful and one that people often pass without knowing on their way down to the south coast. I suppose that works to our advantage.
we are putting the final touches to the "little" house which we intend to use for family, friends and to let. It needs the kitchen installing and the oak flooring in the bedrooms and the salon. Jim has to do that himself as our renovation budget was eraten up by the falling exchange rate.
we have one and a half hectares here and Jim has planted an orchard and we have a potager and keep chickens.
Our one extravagance has been installing a heated pool (which in buregundy is actually a necessity) the heating that is. I have problems with my back and I had endometriosis badly and that has left with me adhesions, so I don't stretch very well. I have adapted my style of swimming and that is very good exercise for me.
You had a hard time of it with your cancer. I do hope that you keep well.
I was "lucky" because my breast cancer was misdiagnosed for a year and I had to have a mastectomy straight away as the tumour was in the duct.
Fortunately it had only gone to stage 1, an advantage of being an older lady. They took 13 nodes, which it turned out were raised because they were fighting the abscess caused by the tumour blocking the duct. I don't have lymphodoema, but my left arm is weak and unreliable, another reason for the swimming, as walking and swinging my arm can cause me problems.
We have two grown daughters, Catherine in Munich, married to Clemens and with a son Nicholas who is nearly 14 months and Saran and Ben who live in Bury-St-Edmunds with George who is neartly 20 months. They are expecting their second baby and have just had their first scan yesterday.
Only one fortunately.
What do you think about the Reiki retreat? They do seem to me to want to celebrate all the old customs, not a word about Christmas. I am a Quaker and we look at each day as a celebration and a sacrament, so no day is extra special from any other in that way.
I am not so sure I want to share accommodation either. Getting picky in my old age.
These are just my thoughts, what about you?
Love hyour dog.
lol
