Thanks for the reply, the thread disappeared, and so I wondered what became of you. I stumbled on this site via facebook, obviously though a friend, or i dunno. Interacting with other onglophones in France was really NOT my thing, at least not in real life anyway, I tend to steer clear of them, and surround myself with locals.

I did, however, find one or two nice people on here that I keep in touch with, and yes, to be honest, the discussions, I find hard, because on most forums, you can be honest, and speak your mind without people running for the rosary beads. I caused a storm in a teacup in almost EVERY discussion I graced for the first week, until I realised they need to get to know me, or remember my name, before they'll accept my rantings. I think I dod ok though, on one, lately, where I merely stated opinion, and like, 8 people came along saying "oh,this is getting heated", and then the admins came to tell us all to calm down, while, I was being calm. If it's carnage they're after, there's youtube comment threads.

Anyhow, sorry to go on, nice to meet you, and all that. I was just scared you were leaving, and, even though I sort of wonder what I'm doing here, I prefer having other people with real opinions around who are not scared tp rock the boat.

After all, if we all just agree, what's the point of any discussion

Hi Sara, I am SO sorry I have not replied to your latest comment - I have only just untangled my 'wall' .... !  Are you still looking for somewhere to move to?  I would post your question in the Lang-Rouss group if so.  Several members live in 66 & I'm sure will be able to give you some helpful feedback.
