Declaration Commune des Revenus des Professions Independantes

If you have received one of these don't worry you probably haven't got to fill it in.  I phoned RSI and was told to throw it away and ignore any reminders as it is a mistake!!   No wonder Mr Hollande thinks France needs extra fonctiionnaires....give me strength! If you want to check, ring the number on the form and they will ask you for the number just above the bar code and tell you that you haven't got to fill it in.See More

La Rentrée...what a drag!

Posted on August 24, 2011 at 19:54 0 Comments

At this time of year, there’s a lot of dragging going on in French supermarkets, bookshops and stationery stores. Sometimes it’s the parents dragging the children round to buy all the essentials for the return to school and sometimes it’s the children dragging the parents around because “Shrek is so last…

Where can I find someone to teach me French ? #30dayblog

Posted on July 6, 2011 at 16:33 6 Comments

How often have I seen this posted on expat forums, usually by someone who has recently moved to France and wants to polish their rusty French learned many years ago at school? I sympathize because it is very hard to find a French teacher, particularly if you live in the countryside, and I should know because I hunt for this rare species as part of my free search service on www.facilitutors.com. Outside of large towns and cities French teachers are few… Continue

Mary's Meals

Posted on June 20, 2011 at 20:24 0 Comments

Greetings all, well it’s day three of Nikki Pilkington’s 30 Day Blogging Challenge and I’m writing a call to action.

So gentle readers, as some of you may know I’ve been making small donations to Save the Children for every 100 people that click the Facebook “Like” button on my website. I’m wondering whether I should concentrate on a smaller charity and I’m Looking at Mary’s Meals . Mary’s Meals is an international movement to set up school feeding projects in communities where poverty and… Continue

Bonjour Wendy,
Thanks for your friend request, and I accidently pressed the wrong button. That's the reason you now have a friend request from me!
I am organising a 'Sketching in the Minervois' Art tour in Sept 2012 and keen to catch up with other creatives who live locally while with my group. I imagine Caunes would be the nearest place for that, as Trausse is very tiny. Quite a journey from Australia, but well worth it.
Cheers,
Erin

Hi Wendy

Have just come back to the forum (summer full of deadlines and children) and seen your request.

I could probably find you a teacher - adults or kids?

Nola

Whereabouts are you, btw?

Thanks for the welcome and the 'friend add'. As with any new site, it'll take me a while to get used to 'Survive France', but hopefully I'll find my way around and make some nice friends. That's the hardest part of leaving England, I've some lovely friends here and know no-one over there to talk to, have coffee with and go out with. But these things take time, I know....
