Oh no.... My first wife was from Corsica and we went there to escape the 'winter' in Cambridge and London. Guess that was Christmas 1970 and Figari where her family are from is right down perhaps 18km from the southernmost point. It snowed…

too much weather, I like that! Having said that it does mean you get real seasons - I'd forgotten what they were after living in the west country for years!

Sure is too much. I could list places I have worked in and loved their climate but there are always BUTS... Let's face it, we can never actually win!

Well yes Annie - but if you have no Kids, dogs mobile phones and a daily routine and still hate the cold - what then? At last though - it is warm or less cold

Treatment is genrally much more successful if people are away from their daily routine, right away from their phones/kids/dogs/ demands of normality, in a completely neutral and tranquile space where they canreally let go. Your guests will…

Hi Barbera

There are a few shops in Veules but if you mean the very nice ""gifty/clothes" shop near the church then as far as I know the shop was open all Summer ..... I'm pretty sure it's open all year round.  Veules is our favorite spot (especially in winter when things are a bit quieter) - our grand-daughter was building sandcastles on the beach there, last week.

Regards

Ian

As for my guitar-playing, I do my best :)

To paraphrase the ditty, maybe it's because I'm not a Londoner, but I've always struggled with the rose-tinted view of 'real east-end gangsters' - for me a psychotic murderer is just that, even if good-old Babs Windsor says they loved their mums.  As for the current crop of baddies in the UK, I think that blaming border controllers is slightly overlooking a huge, nationwide socio-economic malaise.

Hi Barbara

I am actually a professional cook and the only reason that I asked for help re ready meals is that I have been ill and unable to cook. As they are so poor in France, I felt it would be useful to see if anyone had found anything worth putting in my freezer or store cupboard.

I am now taking medication, my awful cold turnerd into a chest infection, and you will be pleased to hear that we are having, sausage, pumpkin and sage casserole for lunch.

Whereabouts do you live?
