so, there is the recette. Hope you like it. I tweak it a bit here and there, add bits, substitute bits. I don't know if it's the potato, or the leek, but it's just good. Mind you, it tastes different every time I make it, lol.

I make cinnamon toast for dipping, great on a cold day.

Happy cooking!!

Sorry, I was at work before so I couldn't reply.
Anything you want to ask just give me a shout, but I get the impression that the prices of things like that vary enormously depending on where you live in France. In any case, a Fell pony is hardly high maintenance so you shouldn't have any problem finding what she needs.
How are you planning to finance your life in France, will you be looking for a job? Do you speak French?

Hi, You live in the posh part of Manchester then! I live in Basse-Rentgen a small village in dept. 57, Lorraine. If you look on here: http://www.freewebs.com/associationponeyfell/eleveursbreeders.htm
you can see the only other Fell breeders in France, Lydia and Olivier who live in the next village to us. When they first started out I gave them a hand with their English correspondence and my eldest daughter now works for them on their farm. I will ask them if they know your friend.
The riding round here is good, lots of variety, forest /open countryside, but unfortunately the winter's are too long and too cold. I do ride all winter, but often more out of duty than pleasure.
Interesting tip about the pig oil and sulphur, I'm going to try and get hold of some because I have a feathered cob and he sometimes gets mites which makes him stamp his feet a lot.

Dear Elaine

Welcome to the network - we hope you find it useful!

If you haven't already done so, don't forget to upload a photograph of yourself so NOT your cat or your company logo (!), to your profile (use the setting button on the right hand side of your page) and once you've completed your profile information, you will be able to see your location on the 'Members Map'. This feature is a great way to find other people in your area so do make sure you add your location - that way other people will be able to find you too! And do add as much information to your profile as possible. Again, that way SFN members searching for people with similar interests, hobbies and occupations will be able to connect with each other.

Feel free to join any groups that look interesting or suggest your own. The groups can all be found in the social tab at the top of the page. If you're a blogger you can also add your blog posts to SFN - we love reading them!

You can list items for sale in the Bring Buy and Sell group and add any events to the Events page. And come and say 'Hi' in the chat window - we're all very friendly!

Best wishes
Catharine and James
