Yes but only if they drive in certain cities. The headline makes it sound as if you need to a sticker the minute you drive off the ferry or you will be fined.

The TImes aren’t too keen on the EU so could be an attempt at ‘Oh look, those pesky French are punishing Brits again’. I must remember not to drive anywhere near Paris as my old jalopy would probably send an emissions reading off the charts.

I lived with the same system in Germany for about ten years and for residents it was absolutely no problem. I hope that it will be better publicised for tourists than the changes to the Dartford Crossing has been. It always amazed me that they didn’t advertise how that system worked and how to pay on the Channel crossings.
