Cristmast puddings

going to get mine made this weekend, I need some stout, can anyone recommend a similar product I can buy here in France please

Bryan - I'd go with the Guinness, meself, being of a (partially) Irish persuasion. It is Extra Stout, after all. If that isn't readily available where you are, perhaps one of the Bruns. I'd suggest the Leffe, as it's got loads of oomph, IYKWIM.

For my Christmas puddings, I either use cider or Banyuls as a substitute for stout, or Guinness.
