Look a bit 'magic' to me! The photo I uploaded was taken by reversing 55-80mm lens and holding the shutter open. Bit hit and miss with narrow depth of field but worth experimenting with.

Thanks, Stuart. They were in the hollow of a tree and I was using my favorite flash. I wanted to shoot some photos at night using a flash. Take care. m

My favourite of this batch Michael. I guess I prefer the more natural looking lighting.

Amazing things aren't they.

ET? Alien thingy?

Liftoff. Gone in a flash...

Stuart's photos inspired me to look for dragonflies. Finally found one asleep on fence post.

Last of the Dahlias in flower, roses have the odd bloom on, some bushes have new buds and the Geraniums are still out. Normaly have a lot of shield bugs but very few this year, lots of cabbage white butterflies on me brassicas. Still mild with no low temperatures forecast this week.

My favourite.

Thanks Neil. I agree. You see things/shapes/patterns not seen without a close-up shot. Running out of flowers and bugs. What's the flower/bug situation in your area these days?

great shots Mike. Flower shots are an entry into another world.

Water bug that better get ready for winter.
