Hello everyone - I’ve just found out about and installed a new app.
It’s been launched by the French government and is a new, free smartphone app to alert users to possible security incidents.
It includes all major natural, technological and terrorist-related risks and you can sign up to get alerts for up to eight geographical areas.
The app is called SAIP (Système d’alerte et d’information des populations) and is available in English and French. To download the app just enter the term ‘SAIP’ in the Apple App store or Google Play. Obviously I hope that none of us need it but given the ever increasing threats from terrorism in France, it’s probably sensible to install it.
