If this happened more often perhaps this barbaric spectacle would end.

As you so rightly said in both comments, it is such a barbeous and cruel spectacle and I hope, sometime in the near future, both the countries involved will ban it entirely. I think it is a disgusting ‘sport’, ‘cultural tradition’.
