yes Suzy its misleading.

You're right Carol, lucky you read more thoroughly than me... so they should remove the 'born' bit if it doesn't apply.

It does yes, until you look at the rules and see this

HELP & FAQS

II AM A BRITISH CITIZEN BUT CURRENTLY LIVING ABROAD, AM I ELIGIBLE TO ENTER?

No, only artists currently resident in the UK are eligible for entry.

Carol,it says born or reside in the UK....Her interiors and landscapes are ok but not her figure work.

Thanks Neil, I thought wowhoo I give it a go, I was going to look at the judges work Suzy but thought I would look at the rules, we can only enter if we live in the UK.

Okay now going off to look at the judges work, as I am wondering now lol

Had a look at Lucy Willis as well and she seems to lack technical skill especially with the portraits.

Hi Neil,I thought of entering, maybe 2 paintings.I looked up one of the judges,Lucy Willis, not too impressed.Theres a painting which won the BP painting award which is dreadful....makes you wonder about judges.
