17h 30 tonight, Eduard Phillipe press conference

I’m not expecting to learn very much as I don’t think the government will make any plans public until they’re sure CV is under control.

Well if it was wonderful news then Macron would be wanting the limelight

@anon27586881 point taken and comment withdrawn - you might wish to edit it out of your post.

I have been following govt stuff fairly closely and felt, like some others, that there was not much more meat on the bones

but that is often how Press Conferences/Statements/whatever go

we are told in advance what they will be discussing
 what they will be saying
 and then, finally we have it all “for real”. :relaxed: :relaxed:

@anon27586881 Thanks for that. :hugs:

I think rather than a general ‘you’re free’ announcement they will slowly and quietly allow certain things to start up again, for example people can now visit care homes from today and dechetteries in a few areas are now open to some degree.

Indeed
 it is very far from “you’re free”
 :roll_eyes:

visiting care homes is only “some” care homes
 and on a restricted “visual” basis only
 no touching/hugging
 full precautions (masks) etc
 and certainly not the free-for-all that some folk perceive it to be

However, I am sure that comfort will be achieved, simply by loved ones actually seeing/waving
