2013 Tax - again!

Hi all

I have just been sent this. I don't recall getting one last year...

Two questions - As an AE do I need to complete this? And if so what do I put? And where?

Aaaarghhh!!

Cheers Lynda, thankfully I like wine and chocolate so there are worse things in life than talking to the RSI - or waiting for them to answer the phone anyway.

Tracy, think positive - you are great, of course you will!!!!

Miracles do happen Brian, congrats to your wife. Obviously differs from region to region as I was told by them last year to bin it as I had spoken to them. Ludicrous does not seem a big enough word -you would really expect that the RSI would know who was AE or no before they sent it out but I am totally resigned to it now. Having changed to Entreprise Individuelle this year I'm looking forward to the next round of challenges. Have bottled it a bit by taking on an accountant - hope I earn enough to pay her - gulp.

My OH got an answer first try. It is more or less as Sarah says, except you must fill in and sign the appropriate bits. Seems a bit pointless? When asked, the RSI man said 'Yes' but because it is sent out it needs to be completed sufficiently to be recorded as dealt with.

I think it is the old Declaration Commune des Revenues under a new name, commonly sent out to AE's in error, I received one last year and somewhere in the small print it says if you are AE you don't have to complete it. You need to contact them and remind them you are AE (again) and do not have to fill it in. As usual, do not ignore it, get a glass of wine, a bar of chocolate, sit down with the phone and contemplate life while you spend a couple of hours waiting for them to answer the phone:-)

Hi Catharine

Someone on Valerie Lemiere's (Start Business in France) site posed a similar question.

She states that DSI does not apply to A/Es so write 'autoentrepreneur' on the form and return it.
