Just been to leclerc to do weekly shop, and for anyone who uses paraffin heaters, they have dropped the price of 20l of petrole to 24€, which all winter last year was 34€ a bidon, a huge saving and I intend to get a few bidons in while they are cheap as no doubt when there is a chill in the air there will be a price hike again.
Thanks alot @digitracker
just back from quick round trip to the nearest leclerc and picked up 4 bidons, which should see me through, as only use a couple of small petrole heaters to give a boost when needed.
I went into leclerc and they had a pallet proudly sitting there but just one bidon on it - a flash of disappointment, so I asked one of the shop staff, and lo and behold, the guy took my trolley and came back with the remaining 3 that I wanted - result! Just wondering if they do that i.e. not continually refill the store supply as the offer is on for a few days and they don’t want to run out - maybe replenish once or twice a day. Anyway, if anyone else finds themselves in the same situation, just ask
I have done the same thing , bought 4 bidons and that means I have effectively got a bidon free at last winters prices, I also think that this will be a short lived price, and as the winter sets in prices will rise again .
Oh yes I remember last year looking when I thought I may need more - the prices escalate during Winter! A great deal
Is pétrole=fioul?
No, it’s not the same stuff…
pétrole - paraffin.
fioul = heating oil/gas oil/red diesel.
