5 year rule and a yes or no question

Keep getting conflicting information regarding various things, residency being one of the most important, using this as 1 point of information what is true.

It states if you have lines in France for more than 5 that you can stay without conditons is that true yes or no?

but then it says conditions of stay

then its says

my question is “i have been living in France for more then five years do I need to prove conditions” yes or no

Sorry, insufficient information for a Yes/No just a few more questions …

Have you lived legally in France for more than five years ?
Have you been completely in the system (all aspects) for more than 5 years ?
Are you in France as a Worker, Student, Retired or what ???

If pushed, I would say Yes, you will have to prove certain conditions…

Yes. You need to prove that you have been living in France en règle and continuously for at least the previous 5 years, once THAT condition is fulfilled then you can stay without further conditions.

As Véro says. For the first 5 years you are only classed as “legally resident” if you meet the condtions. Therefore they need to see proof that you did meet the conditions during those 5 years. Not complicated.

Thirded- if there is such a word… I agree with Vero and Anna.

You could have lived here 20 years, but if you only met the conditions in a couple of those years then you would not be eligible for a permanent resident cards.

Are you OK with the answer “Yes”? Are you well-prepared??

This is supposed to be up to date.
