I was out, elsewhere, this morning… my neighbours found it very moving, so I promised to find it and watch this afternoon.
Moved some of them to tears… and now me, when I remembered my Dad was involved with that operation (amongst many others)…
If you go to St Tropez you will see a memorial to the troops who landed on the beach at Pampelonne under the command of General Patch . There followed some exceedingly nasty fighting through the Massif des Maures.
