Francis Collomp is a French friend of mine who was taken hostage in Africa in late December 2012. Francis has the heart the size of an elephant and had swapped shifts with a younger colleague so that his colleague could be at home with his family for the festive season. That is when he was taken hostage. Francis is 63 years old and all that we seek is that he is returned home to the bosom of his loving family. Please sign this petition and help to have my friend returned home.
I am expecting to meet up with his wife in a couple of weeks time when she will be coming to Paris to speak with the French Foreign Minister and it would be good to have as many names as possible on the petition by then.
This is not just a round robin, this is a real person and a personal friend of mine, so if you can help, I will be most most grateful.
Nick, that's absolutely fantastic news. I hope he has a fast journey home to his family, uninterrupted by any journalistic or political 'debriefings' and a speedy emotional recovery from his ordeal. Absolutely superb result and thank God he still had the strength and courage to escape his captors.
Great, great news.
Francis has been freed - well more, he managed to escape during a Nigerian troop raid.
He’s heading home.
Thanks to all who supported him.
I love you all.
Just reshared this on Facebook to try to continue the campaign.
There is no cuddly animal, there is no quirkly slogan. This appeal is serious. This appeal is for an ordinary engineer who was kidnapped in Africa. Over 200 people have signed this petition - many thanks to those of you who have signed this for me, we still have to get many more signatures to try to get the French Government to try to give some information to Francis's family who are worried sick. Just to recap - Francis, an Engineer was kidnapped before Christmas in Africa - he had swapped shifts with a younger colleague so the younger man could be at home for Christmas - unfortunately Francis was kidnapped by 30 masked and armed men. Nothing has been heard since. Francis is the friend of a friend of mine - if it was one of my friends I am sure I would do everything I could to motivate the government to get them released. Please sign the petition.
Keep going guys and gals you are all wonderful. Please help this to go viral. I want the politicians to realise this is somebody's real life, not just nameless faces that pass on the news.
