My late wife and I, both brought up in Nottingham, though I am a Mancunian by birth, and isolated and changed by our environment, used to compensate by having long conversations and ‘arguements’ in our accents despite both having ‘foreign’ parents who fought against what we picked up from school. :rofl:

I applaud the move but wonder why it has taken so long. I left Twitter years ago - Bluesky mostly now - It is a vile platform which is being supported by vane celebrities and institutions who hold views as more important that morals & ethics.

Yet I can still trivially find her profile.

Except she can’t, can she? So distracts from that by flouncing off.

I’m not entirely sure what she’s done during her tenure and this is the first time I’ve noticed her stick her head up. Bearing in mind that I’m particularly politically aware, she’s been invisible to me.

But so many of them have been. I’m not sure Starmer encouraged debate. There was pretty vicious exercising of the Whip from the start. I know it’s like herding cats, but all the same.

The dude from Cork, Morgan McSweeney, was on R4 Political Thinking today. I’ll give that a listen later. My deep knowledge of Corkonians, a strange breed, might give me extra insight :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
