Ameli and CV delay Summer 2025

(Bit surprised there’s no Health topic available for me to tag. Would that be helpful?)

Rang Ameli today. They are having problems with their system, at least insofar as it deals with applications for cartes vitales. It’s been broken for a couple of weeks and they’ve been told it may take another two weeks for it to be fixed.

You mean “Healthcare and Carte Vitale” ? It’s one below “Banking and Financial”

Oh dear!

Thanks. Corrected.

If you can download the attestation then won’t make much difference not having the actual card. A bit more faff, that’ all.

Do you mind me asking how long it took you to get an attestation de droits? From the date of submitting your demande d’ouverture de droits?

My husband applied in February and still nothing. Apparently the CPAM has referred his case to the CREIC. Who are uncontactable.

Our appointment at the Mairie with CPAM/Ameli was 13 May. I had a request for more information (in fact, something we’d already supplied) later that month, and the Attestation is dated 16/6/25.

I’ve found the English-speaking helpline helpful. 09 74 75 36 46

Thanks Porridge. But when did you submit your original demande d’ouverture de droits?
Just trying to get an idea of timelines.

Sorry - that was at the appointment at the Mairie. I couldn’t fathom how to send it in the post, so when I saw an option to go to see someone, I took it!

To be clear, the only application we made was the one at the Mairie with the CPAM/Ameli staff member.

Wow. That’s fast. My husband’s application is taking forever.

I felt very grateful.

Would it be worth ringing the helpline? I know you said your husband’s application had been transferred elsewhere, but my experience was that they had the means to delve quite deeply into the system.

I’ll steel myself and call them this afternoon.

Just called our CPAM. They’re going to prod the CREIC.

These helpful folk have always solved my problems. They do have access to more information.

Do you mean France Services?

To be honest, I doubt they could tell me more than the local CPAM (who’s handed over the case to the CREIC but is still our contact point).

But thanks anyway Lily.

I do hope you’re not going to be up the CREIC with this…

Think we’re up the CREIC without a boat, never mind a paddle.

I dropped off my application and paperwork at our local CPAM office in early July 2024, had to send (or resend) a couple of things in the next few weeks, received my attestation in early December, got my CV in mid February 2025, if that helps.

Thanks!
Nothing seems to be functioning very well in Strasbourg at the moment. The queues outside the prefecture are the worst I’ve ever seen.

That is unfortunate. Hopefully they figure it out soon.

Yes, sorry I don’t know what CREIC is.
