I think Starmer and more so Lammy have short sightedly positioned the UK as a critic of the Republicans.
Macron, being more of a statesman chose to keep his council.
I think Europe is moving right and will therefore garner more positive actions from Trump.
He has two wars to stop. That has to to be at the top of his list.
Well we shall see won’t we, but sadly I take it that the way he will do it is stop aid for Ukraine and allow Israel to do what it wants against thousands of defenceless children.
Anyway, on the bright side we will be able to see now if Trump carries out his promises, withdrawing support for Nato, stopping wars, reducing inflation and stopping migrants. Also if I was right in saying here recently that I don’t believe he will and therefore presents little threat to most of us in Europe.
