That’s how I use my One Plus Mat. One French SIM and one Irish one to contact family and friends there. Between the toe deals I can pretty well phone anybody anywhere on land line or mobile for free. Once I don’t select the wrong SIM wjat I have done with expensive consequences 
I must say, even though I don’t like Android, the One Plus is a very well built and stylish phone. Mine’s three or four years old but the latest model has rave reviews. When 5G becomes a bit more prevalent, if it hasn’t given us all Covid 
I might consider one.
I wasn’t aware that this debate was on a personal level, more on the Chinese regime, hence the heading of this post.

But we have the British virus now - I think you’re allowed - even encouraged - to say that.
And as Johnson has told us, the British virus is World beating. The only aspect of his Covid response that has been.
Well I suppose they have actually done some things well (but appreciating that that is a very unpopular view of the UK).
Vaccines ordered a long time in advance.
Vaccine approved quickly.
Vaccine developed quickly and the Oxford Astra Zeneca vaccine is probably going to be the one most of the world will use due to the ease of use (monetary support from UK Government).
Additionally scientists in the UK discovered and tracked the B117 (ie the British virus…) mutation because the UK has done almost as much genome sequencing of Covid as the rest of the world combined. And it makes these sequences available to international science. (don’t think the Chinese have helped much there).
