Another way to sell your French property in the present market

For those of you who know me or our story, we are trying to re-locate back to the UK and have no less than two properties to sell. Our original holiday property in the Languedoc, in St Cyprien and our Dordogne converted barn. We are getting plenty of viewings...but the main stumbling point seems to be we actually have one neighbour...sadly about 4 metres from our property. We assume it was originally the small farmhouse to our large barn. Most Brits it seems like to live in splendid isolation.

At a party recently it was suggested we try the Australian market...I gather the French properties appear cheap in comparison and many Aussies are looking to buy property here they can rent out. I found a site in Australia that are selling properties in France, bringing over small parties to look at properties etc. Its called French Desire, www.frenchdesire.com.au/ and they charge very small amounts (around 100 euros to advertise your property) and around 1000 euros if they sell it...(check the figures yourself to be sure). We decided to give it a go and 2 of my other friends have also contacted them. I know a party of them are coming over to the Dordogne area in September, so maybe worth a go if anyone wants another way to sell. Good luck.

Thank you Andrew...have just found a house in the UK we are lusting after....so def. fingers crossed!

Fingers crossed for you, Carol ;-)
