Awesome! We had days out last winter and it finally spurred us to cinect the solar to the house, previously only the barn was using it. Essential in our very dark, windowless kitchen!!!
sounds like a submarineā¦
Just seen (BBC) that a food biogas plant in your neck of the woods was hit by lightning and exploded
On a hike with our group a few weeks back someone gave our caniche a wild mƻre which she gobbled, and because she already knew about finding apples, chestnuts and acorns to play with, she then went looking for this new fruit and stood on her hind legs to pick them from the bushes.
Yeah kind of! It is the north end of the barn and that wall is underground!
A Kodak moment! Really a challenge getting the phone out in time
Both of our labs and our collie would pick fruit from the garden.
Raspberries and cultivated blackberries.
All the pets I have had enjoyed fresh raspberries from the garden, so much so the cats would try and steal from each other. It was my mother who started it with feeding our pet rabbits raspberries when they were out of their hutches and wandering in and out of the house and garden.
Cassington, south of us. Thanks for your concern.
Ours gains weight in the autumn as his walks turn into harvesting forays. He eats hazel
nuts, apples and blackberries from the bush. Autumn raspberries if he can find them. He is also a dab hand during summer at plucking green beans gently off the vine. Few fruits and veg are off limits to him. Favorite are broccoli stalks and carrots.
Just got it all packed and frozen, even better than I thought! 18 portions of chili and 13 of curry!
I do a big batch of ratatouille whilst the courgettes, aubergines etc are plentiful and cheap, lovely to reheat with pasta mixed in to make a substantial meal.
We are funny, we like all the ingredients but loathe ratatouille!!
Finally bought a blitzer/blender a couple of weeks ago and, after some experimentation, have got well into the art of saving a portion of my food to process through it so that Fran can be eating the same food as I am.
Tonight was a portion of mixed fresh veg, steamed and a single rasher of belly pork, grilled.
Shopping tonight in Lidl I found stollen bites.
Love a bit of stollen, but the waistline isnāt so keen
Good. I would not be without mine.
Excellent for soup too.
In fact what she gets is a thick soup, she isnāt allowed pure liquid or solid food. It is amazing to think that her bowl of soup was the same ingredients as my pile of steamed cabbage, carrot, potato, red onion and red pepper with a delicious rasher of crispy grilled ābaconā on top, lathered in butter.
Already? They usually only come on the shelves just before xmas but this is too early. TBH I found they are not as nice as they were in previous years after buying them last xmas, seemed to be lacking in flavour and seemed greasy not buttery.
