Did they bring their sardaukur (sp?) too?
Probably.
Though the Sardaukar belonged to the Emperor rather than the Harkonnens IIRC.
Any trooper will do in a storm.
Still inundated with lizards down here in the sunshine. Have to watch they don’t run indoors again though as they move so fast you hardly see them. Lots of crickets and locusts too and all these other insects which are attracting more birds than I have seen for months.
OH heard today that a major project he’s been working on is about to reach its conclusion. One project left and he can think about retiring. ![]()
Lucky fella! Retirement still feels like a log way off for me.
I’m sorry about that. Maybe you’re younger? It’s been a long time coming for us but I hope you don’t have to wait too long.
Turned 50 this year… I already ache when getting up in the morning as it is.
Just wait another 33 years and see if you are laughing as much as I am now.

Finally got back down today after hiking/climbing Andorra’s highest peak, Coma Pedrosa, at a little over 2900m. Very chilly camping overnight at 2400m but well worth it to get early day views. Also, nearly stopped about 200m from the peak as some scary very very steep climbs along a ridge line just before you get there, with severe drops either side, but told myself you’ve come this far, so pushed on and finally reached the peak, and what a delight😁 seems I need to do a bit of catching up with sharing on @DrMarkH thread😊
Something to remember forever! Look forward to seeing more of your photos.
This morning our rather more insignificant expedition only went up 500m and covered a mere 9kms. Nevertheless I’m looking forward to adding my account to the rando thread later this evening
I certainly wouldn’t say 500m is insignificant, and good for you getting out there in all that glorious fresh air and nature!
Get well soon!
Also a big get well from me and hope you make a hasty recovery ![]()

That’s the old SAAB CT’d again and good for another 5 years. A bit annoyed as there were 2 advisories, one my own fault because I forgot about it and the other (a steering rack gaiter) which was fine when I looked it over a couple of weeks ago but had obviously burst in the meantime.
Why 5 years John?
It’s over 30 years old and a vehicule de collection.
To be honest, I think he was being kind because he liked the car, I’d have failed it.
Certainly for a steering rack gaiter, just need a small stone to get in and lock up the steering.
He was quite complimentary about the condition of the car so I guess he trusted that I’d fix it.
So will you get it fixed - @Corona makes a good point!
