Meh, I tried to do the right thing but Amazon made it so difficult that I just ended up downloading a copy from * cough cough * another place.
Thanks
Thanks Karen - got it!
I already have tge Complete Bocuse, tge book.
I got Brunoās Cookbook for 99p though.
Lovely recipes and photos.
We are going to make the tomato tapenade with our tomatoes.
Thatās a rather generous fill.
A mean bath is no fun
Maybe thereās someone under the surface.
Killer penguins.
Itās all cold water, added so that the bath will settle before sealing the side and getting the panels in place. Having said that, we usually share a bath and like the water deep: normally I close off the overflow, but with this bath it seems very high and thereās been no need to do that.
This is one of the reasons an app (as compared to website), generally, is often stickier to get things done
Just got through the day - and thatās enough!
OH suddenly bed-ridden after our crash - sheās yoga deprived and has a zillion demands in order that some bits of her life might remain normal. And sheās on the top floor of a three storey house. Also hours playing ball with Gigi as part of her rehab after the trauma and inexplicable events of the past few days. Took her to the toilettage this afternoon in a friendās van. normally sheās terrified of the toilettage but today seemed happy for a bit of the āold normalā.
My wife normally takes her and the parlour is next door to a bar where we normally have a drink while weāre waiting, but today I was with a colourful Dutch friend whose (female) partner had suggested we should both be wearing leather trousers when we collected the highly pimped caniche. As it was I sat there with mon habituel (trĆØs masculin!) 51 and every time anyone showed an interest in Gigi, I explained, <<Cāest la chienne de ma femme . >>
But all the above privations of the last couple of days have made me more empathic and admiring of people who have this sort of sāt for years and just deal with it (yes, thinking of you, @David_Spardo!)
Spare my blushes, Iām glad you are trying to stay normal in the face of adversity, but really there is no secret to it, you just keep going,
But not in leather trousers.
Been chilly today in the house, around 20. I really didnāt fancy putting the air to airs on but really fancied a rare log fire.
So I lit one, took a bit of furnture shifting but now, after only half an hour, we are sitting in glorious 24 degree heat (and rising)
Oh dear, I have now realised why we gave up log fires in favour of air to air.
It is now just over 30 degrees in here and I have shut all the openings to the fire down. It will last us for the rest of the evening.
I think you might just have overdone it a touch there David
Just a bit, I have had both front and back doors open since my last post and the temp is down to 27 in here now. I think the fire has only been lit 3 times in the last 7 years or so, all the previous ones as a cover for power cuts.
Definitely the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness here in 71.
We had our wood delivered yesterday. Now all hubby has to do is stack it away in the woodshed.
Good news I ordered 50 steres last year no stacking for me this year.
I swept the chimney this morning, boiler serviced tomorrow so all ready for Winter.
