Jane… I went on Ryanair about a week ago. Yes the airport was heaving, no there was not enough seating in the waiting area… yes it was tiring…
but the plastic trays were clean… no problem with putting your stuff on them…
and everyone was very friendly and helpful.
I think it was a Which report that was reported on by the BBC where I heard it.
Maybe things are improving now.
Certainly I have seen very scratched and bashed trays at both Lyon and Munich.
I can’t imagine that they are especially clean - but people put bags etc on the floor without batting an eye and I doubt they are significantly less clean than the floor.
