All right, so I watch rubbish on TV - I've already admitted to that.
Last night, for example, saw me drowsing in front of the box as I tried not to feel inadequate during the final of Masterchef on TF1. Needless to say, I fell asleep before the end.
And earlier this week I was watching a similarly intellectually-challenging programme over on M6 in the shape of "La France a un incroyable talent" this country's version of the "Got talent" franchise.
All I can say is thank goodness for my somewhat questionable viewing tastes as otherwise I would have missed a riot of a performance from Sankofa Unit - 40 singers up there on stage having a ball of a time with Gospel music.
I enjoyed it so much that I then went a-huntin' on YouTube for a video of them performing and bingo - came up with the following.
It left me grinning from ear to ear and just felt sooooo good.
Not very French perhaps but it surely transports you, and the sheer enthusiasm and pleasure they seem to get from singing is infectious.
