Article 50 TUE/Article 18(1) Brexit CdS - 5 Year Renewal

I have them saved on my phone to avoid that embarrassment.

Thank you, I’ll mention it.

Well, after asking for another rendez vous date as I will be away for the date proposed, today I received a formal notice of cancellation for the inconvenient date, so great news! However I received another mail with a link to a general page, so now totally confused, as I now believe I should resubmit all my documents and apply once more to obtain a new date:man_shrugging: Appreciate any feedback from anyone that’s had to reschedule their rendez vous in 34.

To close the loop, and to help anyone else in a similar situation to me, after receiving the rendez vous cancellation I simply resubmitted all my documents again with a further application. And amazingly this morning I already received a response with a new rendez vous date for the following week. Delighted

Thank you for the update, I’m not sure I would have thought of resubmitting.

I hope it works the same way for the Aude, sod’s law will be that OH’s interview is while we’re away.

That’s an interesting scenario and well worth pursuing if you can’t change your rdv date. Lets hope the other prefectures are as quick to reissue a new rdv.

I went for fingerprinting etc 3 weeks ago and my CDS is ready to pick up. From application to card being ready was a mere 6 weeks. Given I was handed a récépissé that didn’t expire until October , I was very surprised.

Aude seem to be very slow. I waited nearly three months and had to send them a very polite message a week before my card was due to expire, whereon I got a reply saying mine was being processed.

I was told I had to turn up, even though I had an expensive booked holiday. There was absolutely no leeway at all. I tried a second time to persuade them I needed it changing, but they wouldn’t.

I hope not. I’m now looking at what I can cancel for our holiday in Naples and the Amalfi coast. It looks as though I should be able to cancel most of it, but I’ll still be about € 500 out of pocket, not to mention the disappointment of not going. Maybe next year.

@hairbear that is crazy! What if you were just plain sick and couldn’t attend??? I wonder what the solution would be in that case

If you were sick and unable to attend you would need a doctors attestation.

Unfortunately too many people at 11 have been cancelling rdvs because they are inconvenient, so those with genuine work commitments are now being penalised as well.

Not wanting to offend anyone but everyone has known when their card was due for renewal and a lot of people have seemed to book their holidays around this time.

Article 50 renewals are not the only cards to go through the prefectures.

11 is by no means the worst prefecture. But many are understaffed and are doing their best.

Vienne Département 86

My wife and I made our applications yesterday afternoon on their Démarches Numérique site, very simple, attached scans of 3 documents, passport, carte de séjour and electric bill. Immediately an email acknowledging receipt, then it’s being processed, then email acceptance and another email 3 hours after making the original application the date of our rdv on 1st June. Very efficient, so far.

86 are quite good.

I agree, I checked the dates thoroughly, I knew the turnaround from application to fingerprinting in my area and made sure I had plenty of leeway. I made sure I could get to the appointment wherever I was.

Fwiw, OH submitted his renewal application about 10 days ago for the Aude. He just checked the Démarches Numériques site and it’s showing as in progress. It’s good to know it’s moved on a stage.
