As I get older

This guy seems to be the most dedicated Beatles fan on YouTube:

You can check your music age on Spotify. Mine is 31, I’m mid 60’s. My niece by contrast has a music age of 58 and she’s 30. The Beatles don’t feature in any of my lists. A bit of Ludovico Einaudi , Technotronic and anything I hear that I fancy keeps my lists fairly eclectic.

Never owned a Beatles record ever, genuinely not a fan

I was a fan early on and then I found the Stones. Where I lived when I was younger, you couldn’t like both, so the Stones it was.

Stones fan here too.

I like Ludo as well.

I listen to quite a bit of electronic stuff like Kebu, William Orbit and Yello.

And Scandinavian jazz trios.

I’ve got an original copy ( liberated from my parents). Always preferred the stones out of the two.

I bucked the trend.

Oddly I’ve got more Stones music (including a concert DVD series) but rarely dig them out.

For what? He has done a lot of philanthropy over the years and I haven’t heard of any scandals or complaints of terrible behaviour.

Look up a Micmac cover version recorded a number of years ago, as part of a project of pride in aboriginal languages (in Canada).

Lennon had his demons; at least he faced them, acknowledged them, on songs like ‘Jealous Guy’.

He embraced them, too, unfortunately.

Neil Young is a crotchety old sod. Nothing wrong with that. Ahem.

I was walking past a small rail station in Lyon when I heard a piano rendition of Einaudi’s Experience. I nipped into the station to have a look. There was one of those public pianos and a young man was playing. It was so beautiful, the 6 or so travellers at the station were stopped in their tracks. At the end, we gave the young man a well deserved round of applause. Serendipitous.
