Backpedaling at the speed of light.... 🤭

Well, if you stop your own security from investigating, you’ll never find out.

So then, 5 men arrested on suspicion of terrorism, and 5 addresses searched.
At each address there would usually be an armed SWAT team to gain access, and then a swarm of forensics people in Chernobyl suits who would be there for hours. Despite all the national media coverage, and no doubt huge chatter on social media, NO-ONE seems to have noticed any of this activity!!
All seems very odd to me.
Just doesn’t add up.

Decoys maybe from the real event still to come??

A Maskirovka would be a very GRU thing to do if it’s really the Russians behind this.

I’m pretty sure the investigations are continuing with as little media attention as possible. The government are happy to implicate Iran, no surprise as they’ve been actively recruiting young people all over Europe to carry out attacks. I think a Dutch lad was recently arrested before he carried out a murder, planned by someone in Iran. It’s possible they already know what the lads were supposed to be doing, just need to uncover the why and who, if anyone, was orchestrating it. Makes sense to do that as quietly as possible.

This is not going to please anyone ..but let’s assume it was Iran,..would they not be within their rights to attack an airport where the bombs are loaded onto bombers and have already been used to kill Iranians in Iran . ?The UK loses it’s "non involved status ", under those circumstances . The terminology of "defensive " bombing of targets in another country is a nonsense ..all bombing is an offensive action. A preemptive strike is still a strike.
This is not an endorsement of Iran in any sense ..Just a plea to common sense and less hypocrisy

You are wrong, you haven’t displeased me. If anyone should be blamed if it was an external attack, it should be the orange thug in Washington.

If it wasn’t then the quicker they work it out the better.

@David_Spardo Ditto, no displeasure from reading a thoughtful comment / counterpoint. I would say that just as the American people and their congress don’t get to vote for or against the war, neither do the Iranian people. Two dictators warring against each other does not make a right.

Now why can’t I get ‘when two tribes go to war’ and welcome to the pleasure dome out of my head…

Seems a few tribes going for it too on the novel politician thread

Well I think they would be Dan. The UK is complicit in bloody great bombers killing children. The UK has been complicit in genocide, no matter what anybody says.

But what about Shannon? I’d say the majority of lethal weapons that have killed women and children in Gaza have passed through our airspace while our gobshite politicians wring their hands about the slaughter. Words, words, we need action. Close Shannon to US military use.

Well on that topic I agree.. Munitions would not have traversed Shannon , but personnel did .and presumably still do .. And there was credible evidence that" Extraordinary Rendition " flights used Shannon. US Military on chartered aircraft …identifed as sun tanned young men and women would stop off and enjoy the duty free bars ..presumably even below legal age for alcohol in the USA. .. However their armoury would not be on the aircraft with them…

Strange that the other Welford (no H) hasn’t been mentioned.

Criminals… no Kemler codes in sight.

With Timmy, the Iranian terrier (or was that terrorist ).

Coincidence?

I doubt it is, but there will be a lot of residents happily waving them off.

Whether coincidence or not, a strong indicator (rightly or wrongly) that threats work.

Not in the UK.

OK. We can call it a Tactical Firearms Support Unit if you prefer. I just used SWAT as I thought more people would be familiar with that term than TFSU.
