we are novices to bee keeping, we have a couple of hives but don't really know what we are doing (only what we have read in books and on the internet..!).
Does anyone know of any bee keeping courses (preferably in English) in the Lot et Garonne area.. ?

Go to the Hive group and ask there, I am a bit far away to help myself. It's not so hard and great 'fun'.
Hello, I have been thinking about trying to keep bees for years, reading, watching videos etc. There seem to be a lot of decisions to make about type of hive...I would just want one to begin. Should I be looking at buying brand new stuff...is there a risk of infection with used stuff? What type of hive do you recommend for a complete novice? I live in rural Normandy. All advice and comments much appreciated.
