Does anyone think it might be feasible to create some sort of book exchange system on here? I often have books that were a good read but that I won’t want to read again and would be very happy to swap. Just trying to think how it might work?
Yes, I think the simpler the better or people won’t join in. Will ponder what else we need in the way of guidelines.
I think maybe leave it as ‘unsaid’ - people tend to generally do the right thing and I can’t see any SF members not participating fully. But maybe - we should write some guidelines which could include ’ please make sure that you have a book you are willing to pass on’ ? There are probably some other things to think about too…??
LOL! Should we make it a condition of receiving a book that the receiver has to post a review of a book they’re willing to send on, or does that over-complicate things?
That sounds like a plan…it was the book buying element that had me stumped - well done Wise one!!
Good idea Catharine…maybe a sort of chain effect: I read a book, for example, I post a review, the first person to say they would like to read it too gets the book posted to them, they then give their opinion and pass it on to next person to declare an interest? Trying not to commit people to buying too many books???
