In view of the recent Modial delivery scam, I am very suspicious of any unexpected email.
We are flying to the UK Tuesday from Bordeaux and I’ve booked our car into the long term carpark P4 which is cheap but tedious as it needs a navette to get to/from the airport.
This has just arrived, supposedly from Bordeaux airport.
Has anyone had experience of their LT carpark booking being upgraded? Is this legit? And if so, did it work ok?
What I get from this email is that it’s probably genuine. The reason is that it’s not asking for any sort of interaction with anyone. It’s simply saying to turn up at P2 rather than P4 and use the intercom and give them your booking reference to take advantage of the offer. You could always contact the airport to see if it’s genuine … using details other than what in the email.
Thanks Hairbear. I’ve just run it past CHATGPT and the view is it’s bona fide, managing capacity of P4 carpark. Like you’ve said, no clicking on links, no money asked for, just turn up and speak to someone through the intercom. I think I will leave plenty of time in case the intercom person doesn’t know about this!

Not sure if it would have made a difference in your case SuePJ - eapecially aa bòoking direct you’ve been upgraded - but I have always found onepark.fr excellent for airport parking.
Apparently they do car parking in busy cities as well. Promo’a (usually about 10% off) relatively frequent and they do come up with options for places to park you’d never know were on offer.
I am currently sitting in departures at Bordeaux.
I normally book P4 for parking but P2 came up at the same price so I parked there which is just a short walk from the terminal.
Been onto Bordeaux airport website. They are installing photovoltaic lighting from 2nd to 31st March so 900 places have been taken out of P4 carpark. Hope we find a space in P2!!!
