Probably not. I don’t remember any in that area, but we have several down here.
They have the Turkish tea on Amazon. Just search for Caykur tea. It’s about half that price in our local shop though.
Just had a look. I shall keep an eye out for it in shops but at that price I think we’ll stick with the loose Ceylon from our local épicerie!
Auchan had this, which does the job (Twinings Breakfast Tea), but at over €6; only for emergencies! - nice tin though. Will get family to bring more supplies when they come over at the end of the month.
That’s for a very large packet, 500g of tea. It is as I said, double the price than what we pay in the shop here.
Yes, I can imagine. We normally buy 500g of Ceylon at a time from our local shop…
How much would you normally pay for 500g ?
“Nothing fancy. It’s for my wife.” Hmmmm…
I buy it in Germany, the bergamot flavoured one
Around 16-17 euros I think - lately it’s my partner who’s been buying it…
That’s not a bad price, in France, for a good black tea.
What a nice offer @Griffin36, just took a look at ebay as you mentioned and seems I’ll be able to add it to my lengthening “collect when in UK” list.
The hawthorn aspect, as ebay.fr were calling it, definitely sounds interesting.
Hi, my Irish missus is a HUGE tea drinker and swears by Liptons Breakfast loose leaf tea (yellow packets). Not only are the leaves big (lessening the need for a strainer), but the colour, flavour and even the smell of the drink is bright and fresh. However, their tea bags aren’t as flavourful and need to ‘stand’ for a greater period before becoming a useful cuppa. The loose leaf tea is available in all the large French stores (E L’Eclerc, Auchan, etc…
We don’t like the yellow label at all, it’s very weak. My husband used to cope with it (he drinks his tea black), but if you take milk you will be very disappointed.
Smartest tea you can get, builders tea. Returning home this week after 2 weeks in the UK with our new grandson and the car is already loaded with enough Yorkshire tea for the next 2 years based on a calculation of 5 cups a day for both of us plus the occasional visitors and the usual long summer family stays of our Yorkshire tea drinking family.
We’ve found that our tastes have changed over the years… we no longer buy Yorkshire Tea, Earl Grey etc etc…
Using loose-leaf tea, we make it as strong or as weak as we like…
The pot is warmed prior to use, the tea is left to brew… and the final offering is always delicious.
We also enjoy all sorts of fruit/herby tisanes… so many to choose from… hurrah.
Possibly throwing the cat among the pigeons… Which Milk do folk prefer…???
It took us a while to decide, but we’re now quite happy with GrandLait Demi Crème… always have a supply in the cave and a couple of litres in the fridge as it is best served cold (in my opinion)
