Newly arrived and living in St Aignan de Grandlieu 15 km south west of the city, I am desperate to meet other British or English-speaking people. I am 74 - have lived for 20 years in Africa and Asia. Retired with my husband who is French, since 2003. He was an international civil servant and I brought up the rear!

I live a bit far away to be of any use (a couple of hours to the north of you!) but I’m pretty sure there are people here a lot closer. They should be along soon…
