We were hoping to buy a car in December but we would not be living in France. Do you have to be a resident in France to buy a car? How long is the process of buying a car (most probably second hand).
I have sent an e-mail to Axa re if I need to have a French Driver's license for insurance purposes - anyone else have any advice on this?
Also, when you apply for a French Driver's License you have to surrender your current Drive'r license but they take a while to send through your French Drive'rs license - we would have an international driver's license however you would normally have to have them both on you - is it acceptable to keep driving if you have handed over your original driver's license?
