The Bar is run and owned by Marie, a weather worn but fiercely attractive woman, clearly proud of her Cuban origins. The bar is truly a wonderful find, for locals, tourists and fisher folk alike.
Cap d'Agde is one of the largest ports on the French Mediterranean devoted to leisure, although many fishing craft are to be found there and some pretty impressive Gin Palaces too.
I assume this is because the mooring costs are so much cheaper than the Glitzier film Star Cannes further East. The Village is part of the larger Commune D'Adge which includes Grau D'Agde where some fairly sizable fishing craft chug in and out. Turn Right out of the Tapas Bar and there is the Port of Cap D'Agde
The Port is more of a Promenade where from dawn until the early hours in the Peak season it is packed solid, bar follows bar, shop after shop, everything is available from candy Floss to Full to Capacity Restaurants.
