Recently renewed my insurance with a new company. Having a look at the Carte Verte I can’t see GB or UK on the list of countries (see screenshot). Is this normal? Am I missing something? The insurer’s website says that UK is covered…
That’s like some weird where’s wally game! Can’t see it either. And UK is still signed up to the system
My insurers do not issue anything any more and certainly no green card now (Groupama)
Which is fine in France, and EU countries. Elsewhere you need a certificate.
Maybe there is an agreement because apparently uk insurers no longer issue green cards for eu countries either.
I do not plan to ever drive in the UK again, 2015 was the last time for a wedding and never never again, far too crowded, too many huge uneccessary cars in towns and so on.
I found it so easy - I was always in a line of traffic, so never any doubt as to which side of the road I should be!
Which Insurance Company has issued this green-card to you?
As I’m off for a visit to the UK early next month this post prompted me to download the Memo Vehiclé Assuré & also the International Motor Assurance Card - belt & braces as I know it’s not required there.
On my version the UK is clearly shown (insurer is Allianz).
Have asked the insurer and theyve told me to ‘rest assured’ that the UK will show up when my dossier has gone through and the permanent carte verte gets sent out to me… À suivre !
Interesting, so you can’t drive in Kosovo?
Can confirm that now proper carte verte has come through, the UK has finally appeared on it.
