Received an e-mail this morning from address ‘Contact’ … that’s all, asking me to sign up online for my ‘Nouvelle carte version 3’. When I checked the return e-mail address, it was to yet another e-mail site neither of which was a genuine Govt.fr site. Obviously I didn’t fill in the online application, but I wanted the forum to be aware of a potential new scam. Be careful out there.
thanks for the heads-up…
A useful resource…

I didn’t know where to put this… It’s not really a problem with the Carte Vitale. It’s a cyberattaque on Viamedis et Almerys, operators of tiers payant, used by the Mutuelles.
yes, I’ve been reading about this…
I think the article said that one could check on one’s Carte Vitale to see whether Viamedis or Almerys was marked thereon…
(must have said something like that as I dashed to grab my CV and check… phew… nothing, so we’re in the clear…)
The good news is the Information which has NOT been pirated…
NO Bank Details, NO Medical History etc, NO Postal Address or Telephone… NO Email Address…phew…
Can’t help but wonder how long will it be before the Bad Guys figure out how to get this extra information into their “goody bags”…
EDIT I made an error it’s not the CV it’s the tiers payante… and YES… I’ve just checked our current card and we’re with Almerys… aaargh…
it’s carte assuree not cv… @Fleur
It was the Mutuelle who warned me via an mail. My CV looks OK…
Perhaps @fabien can tell us what’s going-on and who (if anyone) needs to worry…
My OH had an email from Credit Agricole about a breach of their mutualle provider - possibly the same.one.
And I have been getting those €2/box energy saving lightbulbs supposedly from Engie in the title, but the sender is not the Engie address.
having "slept on this "… I’ve decided not to fret, but I am wondering who will benefit from this illegal harvesting of our information… ???
It is suggested that you might receive scam sms, email, phone calls ,purporting to be from your mutuelle. Scammers can possibly find contact details by matching the data they have stolen with other illicit sources on the web. Feels a bit sinister, but we just need to be on our guard.
