Carte Vitale invalid?

Before i do battle with CPAM,can anyone suggest why my Carte Vitale suddenly wouldn,t work and was showing invalid apparently, yesterday afternoon?I used it at the lab in the morning where i presume it was ok,then at the Doctors in the afternoon it wouldn,t work and at the Pharmacie it didn,t work either, assistant told me it was showing invalid? Thanks for any suggestions.

Did the pharmacy try to do a “mis à jour”?

If there has been no change in your circumstance, and you’ve tried a mise à jour, then you don’t have to do battle with CPAM. Just request a new one from your online account.

Yes, it happened to us a couple of years ago. Went, with some trepidation, to CPAM office. She took our card, prodded her computer, gave it back saying it was now OK and that it was a frequent problem.

Yes,the Pharmacie tried a “mise a jour”,but that wouldn,t work as the card was showing “invalid”?I don,t really want to order a new card if there is nothing wrong with the one i have got other than an error at CPAM.Looks like i will be heading to CPAM office, when i said that yesterday in the Pharmacie even the assistant said “Bonne Chance!”,i know what she meant.

I had exactly the same problem after I registered an S1. CPAM tried twice to get it working again, but each time a mis à jour came back ‘invalid’. A new card was ordered about 5 seeks ago, but haven’t got it yet.

That,s exactly why i am wary about ordering a new card,i know how slow CPAM are at doing anything.

Have you checked your status on ameli and downloaded an attestation? What does it say?

Hi,yes,i have downloaded and printed off an “attestation de droits”,all seems normal with that,so none the wiser as to what,s going on,will take the attestation to CPAM office when they are open.

Same with me. Attestation de droits is all OK, but the card is invalid, despite CPAM trying twice to fix it.

Seek and ye shall find.
