We adopted two kittens from Cats Protection and they went from alley cats to princesses in the space of a fortnight.

Yesterday Lyuba decided it was time to look around so she climbed the bird cherry tree and stared at the neighbours yard for half an hour. I was afraid she would jump over the wall but she came down . She’s used to ranging a lot farther than a 200m square garden, but I really would like to keep her here, at least for now

Does she feel threatened if this is new behavioir eg by another new? animal (eg cat or dog) in the vicinity? My cat started to want to climb high when it felt territorially threatened (he’s very keen on policing “his” territory).)
It may be. The one time we went outside the garden on a leash we ran into the neighbor next door with his dog. The dog behaved well, but Lyuba was frightened. I tried to take her out again today but she resisted.

My daughter visited to help with my cataract aftermath and I unloaded some cat food that Lyuba didn’t like. Here is Vanny’s reaction.

I’ve said it before but I’ve never seen such a cool cat as Vanny - just look at him! 
Bazil, has made wonderful progress.
Two days ago he moved to big boys school, to tweak his social skills, before going to his forever home

What’s the story with Bazil Lily ?
Part of it may have to do with my daughter’s ability to capture him at 'the decisive moment". When Lyuba does something cute my stupid phone takes seconds to react and…poof…gone.
Also, it may have to do with how comfortable the cat is with you. Vanny and I get along OK, but he doesn’t REALLY like me- I don’t know if it’s me or he doesn’t trust men or what. When he was with all of us he rarely came and sat with me. He didn’t run away but just was rather cool to me.

Seeing the one with Vanny chasing his tail - our Bobby and Tabatha often become whirling dervishes when chasing their tails. It sometimes goes on for a couple of minutes and make me feel dizzy, let alone them.
The Inspector Clouseau is hilarious! at least Vanny is socialised with other cats. My cat seems (and looks) quite similar, but isn’t socialized. So he plays hard (unmasked claws etc.)
